Quick facts about donkeys:

Miniature Mediterranean donkeys are under 36" tall and come in a variety of colors. They are very docile and friendly in nature. Donkeys are social animals and do best with a donkey friend, even when housed with other animals. It is important to keep that in mind if you are looking at becoming a donkey owner.

Shelter

Donkeys are very hardy but they do need a shelter to escape from the elements. They do not require as much space as a horse but they need enough pasture area to run and play. 

FEED

 Donkeys are relatively easy keepers and can easily be overfed. They need a high fiber/low protein diet.

Care

Donkeys require routine hoof care and should have their hooves trimmed every 6-8 weeks. They should be dewormed and it is important to work with a vet to determine the best vaccine schedule for your donkey.
